chef dianna estes

Since an early age playing with her Easy Bake Oven, Dianna Estes has loved to cook! The road leading her into the world of the personal chef has taken many turns. She went to work in restaurants at the age of 16 starting as a pantry person. She worked her way through the ranks: prep cook, line cook, saucier and sous chef. Working in the venerated Modesto-Lanzones, Opera Plaza in San Francisco where she was introduced to classic and contempory Italian cuisine from the northern regions. She then worked at Metropole, a Berkeley-based traditional French country-style Bistro.

Though her biggest influence was Alice Waters of Chez Panise with her Californian food revolution working with local farmers. And or course she appreciates Julia Child who help demystify gourmet cooking. Dianna later moving over to the Hotel industry where after 6 years she left to find a way to further bring Alice Waters fresh organic style to individuals one client at a time. Thus, As You Like It Personal Chef Services was born.
